Our Growing Philosophy
We use what mother nature provides to grow flowers and vegetables here at Agate Acres: sun, rain, and soil. We limit plastic usage and never using chemicals or pesticides. We source our soil inputs as locally as possible.
The growing season is short here in Northeastern Minnesota, so we start all our seedlings in our heated greenhouse as well as use 2 hoophouses to extend the season.
We sell our flowers by several means: CSA subscription, bouquet order, event flowers, and at our Farm Stand. We also sell our flowers wholesale to many local florists in Duluth & Two Harbors.
Find our veggies at our Farm Stand on Sundays! We post here (below) weekly about what is available at the farm stand each week and send out a weekly email. You can also check out our Instagram and Facebook for this info!

We are so excited to connect with you to create your dream flower arrangements! Reach out below to share your vision.
We know that each wedding or event is unique so we do not have a one size fits all package. We have 3 basic package types that we then customize them unique to you.
Here are our Flower packages:
DIY Package: We share DIY buckets of flowers with you. Each bucket has approximately 100 stems.
Designed & DIY Package: We create all held and worn arrangements (bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages). We share with you DIY buckets of flowers to create centerpieces with.
Designed Package: We create all held and wore arrangements, create centerpieces, and all other floral items.
If you are inquiring about Agate Acres as your venue - please DO NOT fill out the flower inquiry form. We will talk through flowers once you have booked your date. Agate Acres wedding venue clients are required to purchase their flowers from Agate Acres.

Flowers are seasonal, so depending on the month we have different plants in bloom. We can provide fresh cut blooms from April - October. Reach out to see what is in bloom!

This is a great question! Flowers hold lots of emotion and sentimental meaning. As a flower farm, we want to use majority what we can grow here at the farm, however, if there is a single flower type that holds meaning to you that we can’t grow (such as roses, bird of paradise, etc), we will do our best to order this in for our design work.

Yes! We post our dried flower products on our store in the fall each year. If you are looking for dried flowers for an event, we can do this, but need sufficient time to grow and dry them. Please contact us in the winter previous to the event.
